Reply to vague ‘how much?’ messages from customers with ChatGPT

ToolChatGPT

A micro-bakery owner used to dread 'how much for a birthday cake?' messages with no date or details. Now she pastes them into ChatGPT and asks for a warm reply that requests the date, servings, flavours and inspiration photos and mentions her starting price, then tweaks a couple of words so it sounds like her.

Prompt to copy
A customer has sent me this message: [PASTE MESSAGE]. Write a warm, short reply in a friendly small-business tone. Ask for the details I need to quote: [E.G. DATE, NUMBER OF PEOPLE, STYLE, PHOTOS]. Mention politely that my [PRODUCT] starts at [PRICE] so we're on the same page early. Keep it under 100 words and don't sound pushy.

Replace the [PLACEHOLDERS] with your own details before you send it.

How to try it

  1. Make a note of the details you always need before you can give a price, plus your starting price.
  2. Paste the customer’s message into ChatGPT with those details and ask for a friendly reply.
  3. Change a word or two so it sounds like you, then save the best version to reuse.
